It is one of Colorado’s 17 original counties with it’s original boundaries the same as when it was in 1861. The largest city in Clear Creek County is Idaho Springs. But there are a few other cities in Clear Creek County like Silver Plume, Downieville-Lawson-Dumont, Georgetown, Empire and Saint Mary’s.
